Surgeries & Anaesthesia

A surgery is the performance of a medical operation on a person which requires a stitching of one or more parts of the body thereafter.
Surgery can be invasive or non-invasive, depending on whether it is performed on, or in the body.
There are many kinds of surgery, ranging from the simple to the complex.
One of the simplest types of surgery is appendectomy. One of the most complex is brain surgery.
Anaesthesia is a drug given to a patient about to undergo surgery to numb its painful processes.
There are two main types of anaesthesia, depending on where it acts: local, and general anaesthesia.
Local anaesthesia acts only on on one or a limited part of the body while general anaesthesia acts on the whole body.
Surgeons are among the highest-paid medical staff the world over.
